First battle as a king was against Jerusalem
During that battle he carried away the vessels of the temple and a few captives of noble lineage
Again in Jehoiakim's 11th year, 605 B.C. he captured Jerusalem and put its king, Jehoiakim, into chains and later killed him
Jehoiachin, the successor of Jehoiakim, after reigning for three months was besieged in Jerusalem, captured and carried to Babylon
Jehoiachin remained there in captivity for 37 years until he was set free.
In Zedekiah's 9th year of rule, Nebuchadnezzar made a 4th expedition against Jerusalem, which he captured and destoryed in 586.
